Castelo da Maia
The main idea of this urban proposal lays in the combination of realising more than 220 housing units and a 1,5ha. new urban park. The configuration of the various spaces play with the orientation of the housing: with direct views and accessibility towards the park, and housing along a new street on the south side of the location. Almost all housing, have also an orientation toward a more quite space: the inner space of each building block.
Walking routes setup the main routes and paths, with in the urban park in relation with the buildings, and as well good and direct connected with the urban context (services, commerce, metro station, etc.). The overall majority of the space is completely car free.
